About NJ HDR
admin July 12th, 2007
I’ve started this site to experiment with High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography. In laymans terms, HDR enables a viewer to experience the entire range of light present in a scene. Using a digital camera, I capture multiple exposures at different settings of the same scene, then combine using software to produce vivid images.
Why NJ? Because I live here. And because, contrary to popular belief, there is a lot to shoot here. We have beaches, hills, forests, cities, suburbs, rural areas, industrial areas… Pretty much everything. So I hope to be able to capture a little bit of everything and share it with you here.
To take these photos, I use the following equipment:
- Nikon D70 SLR
- Nikon D200 (ON order!)
- Nikon P5000 PS
- Sigma 30 f1.4
- Nikon 18-70 f3.5-4.5
- Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6
- Sigma 50-150 F2.8
- Sigma 70-300 f4-5.6
- Sigma 135-400 f4.5-5.6
I’m a fan of Lightroom for creating single-file RAW format HDRs. I also like using Picasa for snapshots; but I’ll use this blog to show off my favorite HDRs.
Cheers!
